About Cakes By Ky

Hello from your local baker gal! For those who don‘t know me, my name is Kylie. I am a local baker who specializes in custom cakes and treats.

I discovered my passion years ago when I started working at my first job, Albertsons. I would always see the cakes in the display case and hoped one day I would be able to work in the bakery. I ended up taking 

a culinary class in high school and found myself paying more attention to the sweets, after all I used to be the “candy and dessert supplier” of my neighborhood. Detective coat style, you know...when you open up your coat and have all of your treats on display? Yep, that was me! 

After making new desserts in class each week, I decided to try and start making some of my own creations at home. I would search recipes all day for new things to try, and whenever I failed I would just try again! I pushed myself each and every day to make new things and get better. I worked a few jobs until I finally got the courage to show my work to a local grocery store, and to my surprise they loved what I had to offer and hired me! 

Soon after that I moved onto a full on bakery, but since I was new I had to start at the counter and try and work my way up. There were only some orders here and there, but I knew I had more to offer. I then decided to showcase my work to a local community page and from there it just took off!!

Cakes By Ky was soon after created, all from the support and trust of local clients who then became great friends. I couldn’t thank the community enough for choosing me to deliver cakes and treats for their special occasion! 

I made it my mission to assure that each creation would be of the best quality, ingredients and all!
